ENVIRONMENT Canada has issued a heat wave alert for Metro Vancouver
It states that the cool showery weather pattern that had been affecting BC for the last couple of weeks has given way to a building ridge of high pressure. Sunny skies and much warmer weather are on tap for the next several days.
By Sunday afternoon, temperatures away from the immediate coast will start to peak into the low thirties – about 10 degrees above seasonal. The ridge (and high temperatures) are expected to stick around until at least Wednesday.
