TWO former Surrey RCMP officers are now in the Lower Mainland District’s Senior Leadership Team.

Assistant Commissioner Brian Edwards is returning to the Lower Mainland District as the District Commander. Edwards has served in a number of positions throughout the Lower Mainland, most recently as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Surrey RCMP. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience which will benefit all communities in the Lower Mainland, say the RCMP.

Chief Superintendent Shawn Gill will be assuming the role of Officer in Charge of the Lower Mainland’s Integrated Teams (LMD I-Teams). Stepping into this role, Gill will bring an experienced and strategic lens to the five integrated teams. The RCMP say that having previously worked as the Operations Officer for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Teams (IHIT), he understands the impact specialized policing has on the safety of the communities.
