ON November 11 at approximately 3:44 p.m., Surrey RCMP attended the intersection of 176 Street and Fraser Highway to assist BC Hydro with a downed high voltage power line and the resulting fire. All intersection traffic lights were affected and traffic was stopped in all directions.

Fraser Highway was closed eastbound and westbound from 170 Street to 182 Street and Highway 15 (176 Street) was closed northbound and southbound between 80 and 68 avenues.

Traffic in the surrounding areas was impacted and drivers were told to expect significant delays.

The closure will remain in effect for an undetermined amount of time while BC Hydro completes all necessary repairs.
