THE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called to Burnaby after an incident at a residence which resulted in the death of one man, and left a woman with injuries.

Just after 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a home invasion inside a residence in the 7600-block of 17th Avenue. A second victim, a female, was located with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is believed to be targeted.

IHIT has been notified and has assumed conduct of the investigation.
