Integrated Homicide Investigation Team called in after death of man found with critical injuries in Surrey

SURREY RCMP have called in the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) in a sudden death investigation involving a man who was found on Tuesday afternoon in critical condition.

At approximately 3:16 p.m., on April 23, police were notified by Emergency Health Services of an injured adult male who was reported to be laying on the ground in the 13300-block of 114th Avenue. Police and paramedics attended and the man was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but died of his injuries.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time.  IHIT will be working in partnership with Surrey RCMP.

Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase and no further information will be provided at this time.
