PUNJABI journalist Gurpreet (Lucky) Singh Sahota of Surrey identified one of the four killed in Saturday night’s accident on the Highway 97C Okanagan Connector between Merritt and Kelowna as Karanjot Singh Sodhi, 41, of Butala (Amritsar, Punjab).
Sahota in a tweet on Sunday said that Sodhi had come to Canada on a work permit in September.
He was employed as a chef in a restaurant of an Okanagan winery. He leaves behind his wife, a son and a daughter behind in his Punjab village, Sahota added.
