LANGLEY RCMP responded to a report of a gas leak located in the 20400-block of 72 Avenue on Tuesday at 11:35 a.m.

Officers are currently blocking several intersections in the area along 208 Street and 203 Street on 72 Avenue assisting the Township of Langley Fire Department, according to Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP.

“The cause of this gas leak is still being investigated at this time and we can confirm that there are no reported injuries to anyone and affected residents are being evacuated,” he added.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
