ON Wednesday, July 10 at 12:24 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to multiple reports of shots heard in the 12700-block of 66 Avenue.

While frontline members were conducting the initial investigation on scene and patrolling the area, Surrey Memorial Hospital called Surrey RCMP to report a male attended the hospital and disclosed that he was shot. Officers attended the hospital and spoke with the victim.

Evidence consistent with a shooting was then located in the driveway of a residence and on a vehicle.

Police believe this was a targeted incident as the victim is also known to police. The victim, who sustained very minor injuries, has been uncooperative with investigators.
