SURREY RCMP are currently on scene in the Cloverdale area of Surrey for a report of shots being fired

At approximately 3:24 p.m. on December 17, police responded to a report of shots fired in the 6400-block of 188 Street.

Officers located evidence that a shooting had occurred. Shortly thereafter, a victim suffering from gunshot wounds was located in the 18900-block of Fraser Highway. He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. There are no individuals in custody.

Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. Police say the investigation is still in its early stages and they are working to determine the possible motive for the shooting

The public can expect traffic delays in the 18900-block of Fraser Highway as well as in the 6400-block of 188 Street.
