A Vancouver man has been convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to prison for the 2021 death of a man in Grandview Park.
Jeff Arnie Lincoln, 41, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced on August 30, following a Vancouver Police investigation that began more than two years earlier, when Lincoln assaulted 60-year-old Gilles Hebert in Grandview Park, near Commercial Drive and Charles Street. Hebert was taken to hospital and later died from his injuries.
Lincoln was sentenced to six months in prison, in addition to a credit of 21 months for time that he has already served pre-sentence. He will also serve two years of probation and be subject to a 10-year firearms prohibition after being released from custody.
The criminal investigation was led by the Vancouver Police Homicide Unit.
