One South Asian dead, another injured in Abbotsford shooting

ONE male is dead and another injured in a shooting in Abbotsford. Sources told The VOICE that the victims were South Asian and the incident is believed to be connected to the Townline Hill conflict

On Saturday, August 4, at 11:35 p.m., the Abbotsford Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the 2000-block of Wilerose Street.  APD Patrol Division officers arrived on scene and located two injured males who were transported to hospital.  One victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, the other is continuing to receive treatment.

The Major Crime Unit of the Abbotsford Police Department will be transitioning this investigation over to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Unit (IHIT).
