ONTARIO: Harmohinder Singh, 78, arrested in sexual assault investigation involving minor

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police investigators from the Special Victims Unit have made an arrest in a sexual assault investigation involving a minor.

In early May, while at the Giffen Family Park near Bramalea Road and Larkspur Road in Brampton, it is alleged that on three separate occasions, the accused approached a female victim under the age of 12 and sexually assaulted her.

On Wednesday, May 8, Harmohinder Singh, a 78-year-old man from Brampton, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Sexual assault – female under 17 (three counts)
  • Sexual interference (three counts)

Singh was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and witnesses and are urging anyone with information to call the Special Victims Unit at 905-453-2121 extension 3460.
