Pedestrian-involved collision in Abbotsford

ON Thursday at 6:16 p.m., Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a serious collision in the 600-block of McCallum Road.

Emergency service workers located a pedestrian struck by a vehicle suffering serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle driver, who was uninjured, remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

Abbotsford Police patrol officers with the assistance of the Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Service (ICARS) remain on scene and are in the early stages of this investigation. McCallum Road is currently closed between Vye Road and Farmer Road. Abbotsford Police said they will provide an update on their social media once the road reopens.

Investigators are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage from those who may have been travelling along McCallum Road just before the collision. If you can assist, you are requested to call the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
