THE RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) is investigating a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in south Surrey that resulted in the pedestrian being taken to hospital in serious, but not life-threatening, condition.
Shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, SPOSU officers responded to a report of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of 24 Avenue and 152 Street. Officers arrived to find that an adult male pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The man was transported to hospital by BCEHS.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, but impairment is not believed to be a contributing factor.
Motorists are advised that the intersection of 24 Avenue and 152 Street will be closed due to the collision while officers investigate.
