PIERRE Poilievre is the new leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, winning on the first ballot with 68.15 per cent of the vote as compared to runner-up Jean Charest’s 16.07 per cent of the vote.

Leslyn Lewis won 9.69 per cent, Roman Baber garnered 5.03 per cent, and Scott Aitchison got 1.06 per cent of the vote.
