COQUITLAM RCMP are responding to a possible threat at a school in the 500-block of Poirier Street in Coquitlam.

At approximately 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, Coquitlam RCMP received a report of a possible threat to the school. The school was placed into a hold and secure and Coquitlam RCMP officers are currently on scene.

Out of an abundance of caution, additional schools in the area have also been placed in a hold and secure.

Coquitlam RCMP ask the public to remain out of the area. As this investigation is actively unfolding no further information will be provided at this time, police said.
