COQUITLAM RCMP now say thay are responding to alleged threats against multiple schools in Coquitlam.

Earlier, they had announced that they were responding to a possible threat at a school in the 500-block of Poirier Street in Coquitlam after receiving a threat at approximately 12:25 p.m. That school was placed into a hold and secure and Coquitlam RCMP officers were on scene.

Coquitlam RCMP now say they received multiple reports of alleged threats against various schools throughout the Coquitlam School District. Affected schools within the district have been placed under a hold and secure and Coquitlam RCMP officers are on scene.

As these incidents are active and unfolding no further information will be provided at this time, police say.
