THE BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced on Tuesday that charges under the Motor Vehicle Act have been approved against Port Moody Police Sgt. Kris Sledding, in connection with an incident that occurred in Port Moody on July 25, 2023.

An information charging Sledding with one count of driving without reasonable consideration for other persons using the highway,and one count of failing to drive on the right-hand half of the roadway was sworn on July 23 in Port Coquitlam Provincial Court.

The first appearance on this matter is scheduled for September 4.
