RAJWINDER Singh Sandhu, a 45-year-old male, has had several Criminal Code charges approved against him following a Surrey Police Service (SPS) investigation into an incident that occurred on Saturday, March 7 at a business in Surrey’s Newton neighbourhood.
Shortly before 2:30 p.m. on March 7, SPS Frontline officers were called to a business in the 7800-block of 132 Street where it was reported that a man, who was being held by staff, had allegedly entered the business and brandished a firearm, that was then taken away by an employee.
Officers arrived, took custody of the suspect, and seized the firearm. An additional firearm was seized following a search warrant at a residential property in Surrey
Rajwinder Singh Sandhu, a 45-year-old male, has been charged with the following:
- One count of uttering threats
- One count of pointing a firearm
- One count of using a firearm while uttering threats
- One count of carelessly transporting a firearm
Sandhu was released by the court and his next scheduled appearance is on April 1 in Surrey Provincial Court.
