The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is now in charge of an investigation around 156th Street and 86th Avenue in Surrey Friday; the area has been taped off by police.

Mounties say a man was found dead early this morning.

City’s Greg Harper has spoken with a man who says he heard four shots just after 5 a.m.

“I’d just gone in to get coffee; a gentleman had said… there was a shooting,” said one caller to News1130, who adds no one can get through in the area.

Police have set up a tent in the driveway of a home.

One man whose yard is taped off as part of the investigation says he didn’t hear anything this morning, but the neighbourhood has its share of “ruckus,” with loud parties.
