RIDGE Meadows RCMP are investigating an arson that occurred on January 29 in the 21100-block of 123 Avenue in Maple Ridge.

The Maple Ridge Fire Department responded to a playground structure fire on January 29 at approximately 7:53 p.m. The playground structure sustained significant damage, with repairs expected to cost approximately $70,000.

Ridge Meadows RCMP were notified and started investigating. CCTV was located which shows three people exit a black two door vehicle with a sunroof. Police are looking to identify this vehicle, as well as the three occupants.

Police are seeking witnesses, dashcam video and video surveillance from within the area from January 29 between 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

“Police have already conducted extensive video canvassing in the area. In the event that we have not spoken to you and you have video surveillance that may be useful please contact the Ridge Meadows RCMP directly at 604-463-6251 and refer to file RM2025-1911,” RCMP said.
