Safe Surrey Coalition slams Councillor Locke for “lying” about City’s most dangerous intersection

SAFE Surrey Coalition on Friday slammed Surrey Councillor Brenda Locke for repeatedly claiming that ICBC data and City of Surrey staff reports were wrong to state 88 Avenue and King George Boulevard was the most dangerous intersection in Surrey, and that she knew the truth.

SSC accused Locke of saying “anything and everything to get your vote.”

SSC said: “Now in 2022, ICBC has again released new data clearly showing that 88 Avenue and King George Boulevard is the most dangerous intersection in Surrey causing 933 crashes.”

It added: “The facts are out, Brenda Locke opposes building the 84 Avenue road connector that would prevent injury and deaths on King George Boulevard. To receive media attention, Brenda Locke promoted her false narrative to oppose 84 Avenue road connector at the expense of the lives of Surrey residents.”
