SURREY RCMP are investigating after shots were fired into a Newton business.

At approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, police responded to a report of shots fired in the 14400-block of 72 Avenue. Officers located an unoccupied business that had several bullet holes in it. No persons were injured during the incident.

The business has been identified as “Sukh Hair Cut.”

Police said the investigation is progressing and investigators are seeking out surveillance video and interviewing witnesses and property representatives. The motive for the incident is currently unknown.
