FOLLOWING an arrest by Metro Vancouver Transit Police, the BC Prosecution Service has approved multiple firearms related charges against a suspect from Surrey.
Sean Robert Gullick, 33, is now facing 25 approved charges, most related to weapons offences under the Criminal Code of Canada. He remains in custody, pending his next court appearance. The charges include:
* Five counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking
* Three counts of possession of firearms while prohibited
* Three counts of possession of firearms without licence and/or registration
* Two counts of possession of prohibited firearms
* Two counts of careless storage of firearms
* Unauthorized possession of firearms
* Identity theft
* Possession of forgery instruments
* Possession of stolen property under $5000
* Unauthorized use of credit card data
* Deal with identity document without lawful excuse
* Breach of release order
* Assault with weapon
* Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
* Obstruct police officer
“Through the use of intelligence and targeted policing in areas of concern, the Transit Police Crime Suppression Team takes on serious crime along the transit system. We are proud that their hard work in this case has resulted in a dangerous individual and multiple firearms being taken off of the transit system,” said Constable Sunny Kainth.
