Three suspects arrested after male stabbed in Newton

SURREY Police Service (SPS) is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred on Wednesday evening in Newton.

On March 26 at approximately 6:30 p.m., SPS, Surrey Fire Service, and BCEHS responded to a reported stabbing in the 7300-block of 128 Street. Officers located a male adult suffering from a stab wound.

The male was treated by Surrey Fire Service and BCEHS and was subsequently transported to a local area hospital in serious but stable condition.

SPS officers have located and arrested three suspects, and they are currently being held pending further investigation. Members of SPS Frontline Investigative Support Team (FLIST) are on scene and have assumed conduct of the investigation.

While the motive remains under investigation, police say they do not believe the incident is random in nature and there are no outstanding suspects.
