ON Thursday at 12:36 a.m., emergency services responded to a single-vehicle collision in the 32200-block of King Road and found a heavily damaged pickup truck that had struck a telephone pole and flipped over.

The two occupants of the truck were suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite the immediate efforts of civilians and first responders, both occupants succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The investigation is in its early stages and is being conducted by Abbotsford Police patrol
officers with support from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service
(ICARS). King Road remains closed between Clearbrook Road and Columbia Street.
