ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police Investigators from the Special Victims Unit have charged an unlicensed driving school instructor with sexual offences.
The female victim, who was at the time 16 years old, was a student at a driving school in the City of Brampton, when she was victimized by the suspect while receiving instruction during an in-car lesson. The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
The suspect advertised his services through online classified websites but his school, Sunny’s Driving School, is not an authorized or accredited school through the Province of Ontario. Investigators believe there may be additional victims that have not yet reported similar incidents to police, and are encouraging them to contact officers from the Special Victims Unit if they believe they have been a victim.
As a result of this investigation, Sukhbinder ‘Sunny’ Saini, a 61-year-old man from Brampton, has been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation. He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on September 25 in answer to the charges.
Anyone with any information in relation to this incident, or in relation to Saini, is asked to contact investigators from the Special Victims Unit by calling 905-453-2121, ext. 3400. Information can also be provided anonymously through CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
