VANCOUVER Police Department’s homicide investigators have arrested 48-year-old Vancouver resident Ngoc Chau Nguyen for the April murder of Minh Huu Dam.

Just before 1:30 a.m. on April 22, the two men were arguing outside of a restaurant on Kingsway near Nanaimo Street. It escalated into a fight, and Dam was injured. He died a short time later in hospital.

It was the city’s 7th homicide of 2018.

Charges for second-degree murder were approved on Wednesday against Nguyen, who remains in custody.

Police said that as this matter is now before the courts no further information can be released at this time.
