TUESDAY UPDATE:

Media is reporting that Mixed Martial Arts fighter Kultar Singh Gill has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm.

ON Sunday, October 29 just before 8:30 p.m., Langley RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle crashing into the Aldergrove Community Policing Station at 26970 Fraser Highway.

Officers responded and found several witnesses at the scene assisting a female occupant out of a vehicle that had collided with the Community Policing Office. First aid was initiated and BC Emergency Health Services responded, took over care of the female who was transported to hospital.

Witnesses at the scene advised the driver had left the collision scene on foot. The driver was located a short distance away and arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He was transported to Langley RCMP detachment for further investigation.

Video and information on social media indicates that the female occupant of the vehicle is a South Asian and the driver who was named is also South Asian. The woman was dragged for some distance and it appears that the driver tried to hold on to her as the vehicle crashed into the community policing station.

Witness information has determined the incident may have begun further east on Fraser Highway. Fraser Highway from 268 Street to 276 Street was closed to traffic. Langley RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT), Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and the Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS) are assisting with the investigation.

Police are requesting anyone that may have dash cam, cell phone or surveillance video relating to this incident, or anyone that witnessed the collision or the driving prior to it, or has information about the incident to contact Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
