A woman has been charged in a weekend stabbing that sent a female victim to hospital, Surrey RCMP said on Tuesday.
On September 8 at 2:16 a.m., police responded to a report of a possible pedestrian struck in the area of 108 Avenue and King George Boulevard. When officers arrived on scene, they located a woman with stab wounds and determined she had not been struck by a vehicle as initially reported.
The victim was transported to hospital where she remains with life-threatening injuries. A female suspect was immediately arrested nearby and taken into police custody. Police believe this to be a targeted incident.
On September 8, 36-year-old Jennifer Kipp was charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault. Kipp has been remanded until her next court appearance. As this matter is now before the courts, no additional details will be released, police said.
