BURNABY RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for a $75,000 fraud.
In October 2022, Burnaby RCMP received a report from a victim stating that his wallet had been stolen, resulting in his credit and debit cards being used to make numerous fraudulent purchases.
The victim’s debit card was used at a bank machine in the Metrotown area to withdraw a large sum of money. The victim’s credit cards were then used at various businesses to purchase high end electronics. The credit cards were used in the Metrotown area, South Vancouver and Richmond.
These fraudulent purchases total more than $75,000, police said.
