KELOWNA – Premier Christy Clark was the prime target at last night’s all-candidates meeting in the riding of Westside-Kelowna where she’s hoping to win a seat after failing to win one in the provincial election in May.
The NDP’s Carole Gordon questioned Clark’s commitment to the area while Independent Cory Zepik was a little more pointed.
“In this election, we need to vote aggressively to ban Christy Clark from this Legislature.”
Independent Dayleen van Risedyk ripped the premier as well. “She knows nothing about this community. All she’s done is get a crash course from Mr. [Ben] Stewart.”
About 400 people attended the meeting.
Ballots will be counted in Kelowna next Wednesday.
