Help Coquitlam RCMP identify suspects in hoverboard robbery

 

COQUITLAM RCMP released a video on Thursday in an effort to find more witnesses and identify two suspects from a January 25 robbery and stabbing.

The initial incident happened just outside a mall in the 1100-block of Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, when two suspects used pepper spray to rob victim A of his two-wheeled hoverboard. Victim B chased the suspects and confronted them at the corner of Westwood Street and Glen Drive. During the confrontation, victim B was stabbed and received serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

“There were many pople near the area of the robbery and stabbing, but we’ve only spoken to a few witnesses,” said Cpl. Michael McLaughlin. “If there are other witnesses, we would like to speak to them. We want to assure anyone who does not speak Englsih as a first language that we can provide a translator.”

Suspect 1 is described as:

  • A male in his mid to late teens
  • Medium height, slim build
  • Medium complexion
  • Wearing skinny jeans, a dark hoodie, a dark long-sleeved jacket with three white stripes down the sleeves, and dark shoes

Suspect 2 is described as:

  • A male in his mid to late teens
  • Medium height, slim build
  • White
  • Wearing skinny jeans, a dark jacket with maroon sleeves and a hood, and black sneakers with green laces
