THEY are truly an amazing lot – members of the Delta’s Burnsview Secondary’s robotic club that bagged several trophies at the VEX Robotics Pacific Northwest regional championship held at BCIT’s Burnaby campus.

The Division A team won the Tournament Champion and Design trophies, while the Division B team bagged the General Excellence, Tournament Champion and Skills trophies.

The eight-member club is headed by teacher Norman Ma.

The Division A Team is comprised of Grade 10 students Maheep Behl, Brendan Lightfoot and Aiden Taeger along with Grade 12 student Alice Xiong, and the Division B Team consists of Grade 10 students Sahil Gupta and Logan Neilson-Anderson and Grade 12 student William Chan.

Stoked after their amazing performance, the robotic club members are now looking forward to attending a VEX Robotics showcase in Honolulu, Hawaii, in July. The club is fundraising for the trip.
