ON Wednesday at approximately 3 a.m., Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a report of an off-road collision which occurred in the 3900-block of Bradner Road.
Abbotsford Patrol Officers, Abbotsford Fire Rescue Services and the BC Ambulance Service responded to the area and located a single vehicle collision involving a Honda Odyssey. The vehicle had been travelling northbound when it left the roadway, and struck a tree. The 29-year-old driver went to a nearby residence to call for help, while the passenger, a female in her 30’s, remained in the vehicle.
Both the driver and passenger were transported by BC Ambulance Service to the hospital. The passenger succumbed to her injuries later in the day. The driver remains in hospital in serious condition.
APD Patrol Officers, Major Crime Detectives and Collision Reconstructionist are investigating.
Names of the victims will not be released at this time.
