Is Goldy Brar, the alleged mastermind in Moose Wala’s murder, still free?

A report in Punjab’s “The Tribune” newspaper says that just three days after Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had confirmed reports that Goldy Brar (Satinderjeet Singh), the alleged mastermind in famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder, had been detained in California, Brar has claimed that he is not in custody nor has been detained.

Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had moved to the US from Canada, where he had been reportedly based since 2017. He claimed responsibility for Moose Wala’s murder on May 29 on behalf of the gang.

The chief minister said that Punjab Police had recently got a Red Corner Notice (RCN) issued against Brar after taking up the matter with the Union Home Ministry, he added.

Addressing the media in Gujarat, Mann had said: “It is confirmed news, and I say this being the head of the state [Punjab], that Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, who was indulging in anti-social activities and was involved in funding such activities, has been detained in the US.”

The Tribune reports: “Brar claimed in an interview with a YouTube journalist that he had not been detained by the US police.

“The Tribune, however, could not independently verify the authenticity of the voice in the video.”
