ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have laid charges against Justin Sharma, 18, of Brampton in regards to firearm- and drug-related offences.
On Monday, March 29, at approximately 11 p.m., uniform patrol officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the area of Highway 50 and Ebenezer Road in the City of Brampton.
As a result of investigation, the driver of the motor vehicle was arrested which resulted in officers locating a .22 caliber firearm in the vehicle.
Sharma has been charged with:
1)Â Â Â Â Â Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
2)Â Â Â Â Â Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
3)Â Â Â Â Â Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
4)Â Â Â Â Â Possession of an opiod
Sharma was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on March 30.
