Ken Jones elected President of the Mississauga Arts Council Board

THE Mississauga Arts Council is pleased to announce the election of Ken Jones as their new president of the Board of Directors.

Jones has been with the Arts Council’s Board of Directors since March 2013, sharing over 30 years of senior business leadership and consulting experience with MAC.

“I’m looking forward to continuing the fine work that has been performed by MAC.” Jones said.   “I will be working closely and collaboratively with the board, our executive director Anu Vittal and staff to continue to grow and vitalize both MAC and the Mississauga arts community.

Jones is currently managing partner of Silver Birch Partners, a Mississauga based consultancy that provides high value consulting services to public and private sector organizations across Canada. Jones  took over as president of the board in early October.

“I also wish to thank our departing President Bohdan Shulakewych for his many years of dedication and leadership,” said Jones.

Previous president Shulakewych served on the MAC board since October 2008 .

Jones is also a saxophonist and has performed for many years with the Mississauga Pops.
