Labour Minister Leitch meets with Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Sathyarti

EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT CANADADR. K. Kellie Leitch, Canada’s Minister of Labour and Minister of the Status of Women, met with Kailash Sathyarti, the co-recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, in Delhi on Tuesday.

The two discussed several issues such as women’s rights and the need to fight early, child and forced marriage.

Leitch congratulated him on his Nobel win and thanked him for his work in promoting the advancement of human rights, including that of women, both in India and around the world.
