Langley RCMP ask for public’s help to identify suspect in June 6 incident

LANGLEY RCMP are requesting the assistance of the public to identify the suspect who evaded police during an arrest on Thursday, June 6.

On June 6 at approximately 10 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 27100-block of Fraser Highway. It was reported that a white BMW SUV which had two different license plates that did not belong to the vehicle was parked in the area. It was believed that the vehicle was occupied by the driver and a passenger.

“A short time later, police arrived in the area and located the vehicle, however, the driver of the white BMW SUV operated the vehicle and rammed two police cars before being disabled,” says Cpl. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP.

The passenger immediately surrendered and was arrested without incident, however, the driver fled the area on foot.

Langley RCMP conducted an extensive CCTV canvass in the area and have obtained images of the suspect. Anyone with information pertaining to this individual or this incident is requested to contact Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file 2024-17535.
