ON Monday at 6:28 a.m., Abbotsford Police responded to a fight at an apartment building in the 33400-block of George Ferguson Way and found a 44-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Abbotsford Police’s Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation with the assistance of patrol officers and the Forensic Identification Section. Investigators are in the preliminary stages of this investigation; however, police say this seems to be a targeted incident.

Investigators are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage from those who may have been travelling along George Ferguson Way on Monday morning between 5 and 7 a.m. and ask them to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
