IT seems that Conservatives can never change!

The latest example of their crazy, erratic behaviour is that of Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Conservative MP for South Surrey-White Rock, who came up with a tweet trying to spread rumours about Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, telling Canadians they should be alarmed about her alleged closeness to billionaire philanthropist George Soros.

Crazy far-right conspiracy theorists had spread rumours that crude pipe bombs sent to, among others, Soros, CNN, former U.S. president Barack Obama, and former U.S. secretary of state Hillary Clinton before the last U.S. election were fake and that the hoax was staged by Soros to hurt then-presidential candidate Donald Trump’s election bid. However, the person who was arrested for sending those devices was actually a supporter of Trump.

Findlay took down her tweet and apologized – “I have removed the tweets and apologize to anyone who thinks I would want to endorse hateful rhetoric” – but she hasn’t apologized directly to Freeland, as common sense and common courtesy would dictate. But then, how can you expect good manners from such crazy Conservatives.

Does Findlay’s new boss, Erin O’Toole, really think he can win support outside of his limited Conservative base in the country with such crazy members of his party? After all, this is Canada – not Trump’s U.S.!

She boasts on her Twitter of being “Shadow Minister for Environment & Climate Change  / Past Minister National Revenue & Associate Minister National Defence” – maybe, its time she retired. Old age can make people do strange things!
