SURREY RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect vehicle in connection to shots fired into a residence in Newton.

On October 20 at 9:13 a.m., police received a report of bullet holes in a residential fence in the 14100-block of 72 Avenue. Officers located holes in a fence as well damage to the exterior of a residence.

Upon further investigation, officers learned that the shooting occurred on October 19 around 9 a.m. CCTV footage was obtained from the area and a photo of the suspect vehicle is being disseminated for identification. The vehicle is described as a white, four-door sedan.

The investigation is ongoing and a motive has not yet been identified, however, occupants of the targeted residence are known to police.

“Police did not receive any calls from the area when this shooting occurred. This is very concerning as someone could have been seriously injured and in need of medical attention,” said Constable Sarbjit K.
