RIDGE Meadows RCMP have arrested one person in relation to an incident in which a Maple Ridge business was vandalized last September.
On September 7 at approximately 4:32 a.m., Ridge Meadows frontline officers received a report from a local business in the 11900-block of 224 Street that the front window of their business had been smashed.
The Ridge Meadows RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) canvassed Maple Ridge’s downtown core extensively. They obtained video surveillance from local businesses and surrounding areas, which assisted in identifying a suspect after additional investigative steps were completed.
On November 22 at approximately 10:55 a.m., the CRU, along with the assistance of the Street Enforcement Unit (SEU) located the suspect. The 47-year-old male from Maple Ridge was arrested and taken into custody.
The suspect was transported to Ridge Meadows detachment cells, where he was later released with a future court data and “no-go” conditions to the business.
This is still an active and ongoing investigation and no further information is available at this time, police said.
