Shots fired at residence in Newton

A residence in Newton was shot at early Thursday morning.

On July 28 at 3:14 a.m., Surrey RCMP received a report of shots fired at a residence in the 8300-block on 142A Street.

Frontline officers spoke with a homeowner who discovered bullet holes in the exterior of their residence. No one was injured as a result of this shooting.

Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit has taken conduct of the investigation. The motive of this shooting has not yet been determined.

Residents in the area can expect to see police canvassing for CCTV footage and additional witnesses.
