Surrey Board of Trade donates to Ronald McDonald Family Room

The Surrey Board of Trade (SBOT) presented Ronald McDonald Family House with a $1,000 donation for the building of their Family Room at Surrey Memorial Hospital. The donation was presented at the Surrey Board of Trade’s Business Cocktail Connection evening with over 250 attendees on July 16th at Eaglequest Golf Course.

“We are here in business to not only make money but also to make Surrey a great place to live. And that effort needs to happen consistently. So when you think of the Surrey Board of Trade, you may think government advocacy – business issues – transportation – tax – environment – international trade – business events…but we are also here to focus on those issues that many business organizations in our nation don’t take on, but in the end impact our workplaces”, said Bijoy Samuel, President of the Surrey Board of Trade.

Last November, the Surrey Board of Trade launched a partnership to raise funds to build a Family Room at Surrey Memorial Hospital because by supporting families, when they need it, helps businesses.
