TRANSLINK is boosting bus service, hosting an interactive transit exhibit, and offering discounted admissions to support the 112th annual PNE Fair, which runs from August 20 to September 5.
TransLink is making it easier to take transit to the fair by adding an express bus to and from the PNE, in addition to regular bus service:
- Customers will have direct PNE access via the 16 PNE Special
- The 16 PNE Special runs every 15 minutes every day the fair is open
- This bus runs between 29th Avenue Station, Renfrew Station, and the PNE
On Fridays, TransLink is partnering with the PNE to offer two-for-one fair admission for the first 5,000 customers who show their Compass products at the entrance gate.

Guests can visit the TransLink exhibit inside the PNE, which showcases:
- Bus tours of three parked buses, including:
- A TransLink double-decker bus
- TransLink’s interactive Ride and Shine summer bus
- A historic bus preserved by the Transit Museum Society
- A Car Free Pledge Wall with a chance to win daily concert tickets
- Caricature artists
- TransLink career tent
Exhibit visitors are encouraged to stop by and speak with members of the team to learn about exciting career opportunities at TransLink. Interested applicants can apply for a diverse range of well-paying jobs at the TransLink career tent on-site.
