TODD Stone, BC Liberal Critic for Jobs, Economic Recovery and Innovation, on Tuesday asked Premier John Horgan in the Legislature why he has broken his promise to deliver a provincially-funded paid sick leave program.

Horgan said in December 2020 that he was prepared to “go it alone” and fill the gaps and fund the cost of paid sick leave, but has yet to follow through on this promise — and it was nowhere to be seen in this year’s budget, Todd pointed out.

Stone called on the NDP to immediately deliver on their promise and stop putting more pressure on businesses already struggling during the pandemic.
