COQUITLAM RCMP are advising the public of a mudslide that has closed Quarry Road between Calgary Drive and MacIntyre Road in Coquitlam.

Coquitlam RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a mudslide along Quarry Road between Calgary Drive and MacIntyre Road in Coquitlam, on Saturday, October 19 at 12:30 p.m. Police observed a large amount of fast-moving water and debris across the road.

“Due to the treacherous conditions, the mudslide area is unstable, dangerous and unsafe,” said Media Relations Officer, Cpl. Alexa Hodgins. “We are urging the public to stay out of the area and shelter in a safe place.”

Quarry Road between Calgary Drive and MacInyre Road in Coquitlam is closed in both directions.
