HUNDREDS of vehicles drove all the way from Surrey to the Indian Consulate General at Howe and Cordova streets in downtown Vancouver with horns blaring and carrying pro-Indian farmers signs and flags that attracted the attention of everyone. Indeed, it was a loud and clear message of support to Indian farmers demanding that the federal government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi scrap the three new agricultural laws that they say spell ruin for poor farmers and mean huge profits for greedy businessmen that support Modi’s party.
